| Indication | Coughs with foul smelling sputum, slight fever, mild chest pain, dry skin, red tongue with greasy yellow coating, slippery rapid pulse |
| Remarks | Also used during recuperation from febrile decease, when the patient has the slight fever and cough with a thick sputum that is difficult to expectorate |
