Pharmacological Effects • Antibiotic: inhibitory influence against S. aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Candida albicans, Salmonella typhi, Bacillus proteus, Bacillus dysenteriae, and H. suis
• Cardiovascular: luteolin increases systolic blood pressure, decreases diastolic pressure, and increases blood flow to coronary artery in dogs
• Antispasmodic: luteolin relieves spasms and cramps of intestines and respiratory tract
