Pharmacological Effects • General: administration associated with increase in body weight and improvement in physical performance in mice, as measured by swimming endurance
• Endocrine: administration associated with increase in plasma levels of corticosteroids; mechanism of this action attributed to its stimulating effect on pituitary gland and adrenal cortex
