Pharmacological Effects | • Effect on temperature regulation: alcohol extract shown to lower body temperature in rabbits with a normal temperature, or with a fever induced by typhoid vaccination • Cardiovascular: water extract has cardiotonic effect on frog heart specimens; at high doses, may inhibit cardiac contraction; in anesthetized rabbits, intravenous injection raises blood pressure and increases respiration |
